Glass lined equipment lasts decades if it is looked after. We support ours — and glass lined vessels of other makes — from first inspection through to a full reline, with spares, repairs and on-site technical assistance in between.

Reglassing & relining

A worn lining is not the end of the vessel.

When a lining reaches the end of its service life — thinned by years of acid duty, cracked by a thermal shock event, or abraded by solids — the shell underneath is very often still sound. Reglassing strips the old lining, re-prepares the surface and refires new glass onto the existing vessel.

For most operators the arithmetic is straightforward: a reline costs a fraction of a new vessel, and arrives considerably sooner. The vessel keeps its existing nozzle schedule, foundations and pipework, so the plant does not have to change around it.

How a reglassing job runs

Assessment

On-site or in-works inspection: lining condition, shell thickness, weld integrity and a view on whether relining is economic.

Strip & repair

Existing lining removed, shell inspected, welds repaired and the surface prepared to the standard a new vessel would get.

Reline & fire

New glass applied and fired in our furnaces, in the grade chosen for the process as it runs today.

Test & return

Full spark testing, hydrostatic testing and documentation, then delivery back to your site.

Refurbishment

Mechanical overhaul, not just a new lining.

Equipment that has been in service for years usually needs more than glass. Refurbishment covers the rest of it: shell and weld repair, nozzle and flange face restoration, manhole and cover work, agitator shaft and seal replacement, drive overhaul and support structure repair.

The point is that the vessel comes back as a working machine, not as a relined shell with twenty-year-old mechanicals bolted back on.

Retrofit & upgrade

When the process changes and the vessel has not.

Processes move on. Batch sizes grow, a new product needs different mixing, an analyser needs a nozzle that was never provided. Retrofit work adapts existing equipment to what you actually run now.

Spare parts

Held against your equipment record.

Spare parts availability is part of the after-sales commitment, not a separate business. We supply consumables and wear parts for glass lined equipment — ours and other manufacturers’ — so a single failed gasket does not become a week of downtime.

Glass repairs

Localised damage does not always mean a reline.

A chip at a nozzle, a pinhole found on a spark test, impact damage from a dropped tool — these are common and, caught early, they are repairable in place. Repair solutions restore the barrier so the shell underneath stays protected while the vessel keeps running.

What matters is finding them. Damage that is repaired in a shutdown window costs a fraction of damage that announces itself as a leak mid-batch.

Repair kits are supplied for your own maintenance team, and our technicians carry out repairs on site where the situation calls for it.

Field service

On site, wherever the plant is.

On-site technical assistance is available at all times. Most of what our field team does is diagnostic: establishing the real condition of a lining before anyone commits money to a decision.

Spark testing

High-voltage spark testing of the lining in situ to find pinholes and breaches invisible to the eye.

Thickness measurement

Coating thickness gauging to map where the lining has thinned and how much service life remains.

Damage assessment

A clear view on whether a vessel should be repaired, relined or replaced — with the reasoning behind it.

Failure investigation

Establishing why a lining failed, so the same operating practice does not consume the next vessel too.

Preventive maintenance programmes

Scheduled inspection and maintenance, planned around your shutdown calendar rather than around ours. A lining that is spark tested on a schedule gives you months of warning; a lining that is inspected when it leaks gives you none.

Programmes cover inspection intervals, thickness trending, spares holding and a documented condition history for each vessel.

Installation & commissioning

Site supervision through erection, alignment, connection and first start-up — including the thermal ramp on the first heating cycle, which is where a great many new linings are damaged by enthusiasm.

Where we have supplied the complete train — reactor, condenser, receiver, column and piping — commissioning is a single scope with a single point of accountability.

Order traceability

You should not have to phone us to find out where your order is.

We keep clients completely informed at every stage of their order. Real-time traceability updates are delivered directly by email notification or through a dedicated portal login, giving complete transparency, zero guesswork and total peace of mind from order placement to final delivery.

The same record becomes the equipment history: material traceability, test certificates, inspection reports and, later, the service and reline history of that vessel.
