Home/Facilities

A works built to take the whole job in-house.

26,000 m² of land, 16,000 m² of shop floor under crane and 1,500 KVA of installed power — cutting, forming, welding, machining, glass lining and testing under one roof at Uttarsanda, Gujarat.

The works

Why keeping it in-house matters.

End-to-end integration is not a slogan here — it is a consequence of owning the machines. A vessel is cut, formed, welded, machined, lined, fired and tested without leaving the site, so quality is continuous rather than handed between suppliers.

Four processes, and the positioners to use them properly.

Welding processes in use: SMAW, GTAW, SAW and FCAW. Rotators, positioners and column-and-boom sets mean heavy work is welded in position rather than overhead.

Heat treatment & firing

Auto-control electric furnaces — up to 1,400 kW.

Glass lining is made or ruined in the furnace. Ours are auto-control electric furnaces in four capacities, so a 40,000 litre vessel and a 63 litre pilot reactor each get a firing cycle appropriate to them rather than a compromise.

Because firing is in-house, the glass grade, the firing schedule and the spark test that follows are all under one quality system — which is the whole argument for buying a lined vessel from the works that fabricates the shell.

Quality & testing

Quality is embedded into every stage of manufacture.

From raw material inspection to final testing, each step is monitored to ensure product reliability and safety. All processes are aligned with recognised industry standards for consistent performance and long service life.

Spark testing

High-voltage testing of the complete lining for integrity — every vessel, before it leaves.

Non-destructive testing

Ultrasonic (UT), radiographic (RT) and magnetic particle (MPI) inspection of welds and plate.

Hydrostatic & pneumatic

Pressure testing of shell and jacket to the design condition, with certified records.

Traceability & documentation

Material traceability per heat, with the full documentation set delivered against the order.
